Andrea Wilson, MD, MPH, is an integrative general practitioner and Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at the Max Rady College of Medicine in Manitoba, Canada and Integrative Fellow at the University of Arizona, Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine in Arizona, USA. Dr. Wilson believes in the importance of the relationship between the practitioner and the patient, focusing on the whole person, utilizing evidence based interventions and making use of all appropriate therapeutic and lifestyle approaches, health care professionals, and disciplines to achieve optimal health and healing. Health promotion and the prevention illness is paramount and effective interventions that are natural and less invasive are utilized whenever possible.
Dr. Wilson graduated with a bachelor of science, first class honours in psychology, from the University of Calgary in 2006, master of public health from the University of British Columbia in 2011, medical school at the University of Calgary in 2016, and residency as a Clinician Scholar in the Northern/Remote Family Medicine stream at the University of Manitoba in 2020. She and her family have recently relocated to Vancouver will be opening a private integrative medical practice at Yaletown Integrative Clinic at the end of October.
