Jacky graduated from West Coast College of Massage Therapy in New Westminster with over 500 hours of hands on treatment time including a four week outreach at GF Strong spinal rehabilitation center and a four week in reach with pre-and post-natal patients.
She has been working as a Registered Massage Therapist in a clinic setting for over a year. She uses her strong knowledge of orthopedic and systemic conditions, anatomy, physiology, and diseases of the human body to apply the appropriate techniques during treatments to efficiently meet both her and her patients goals.
Jacky understands the complex balance between the physical, emotional, and visceral components of a person and how all of these aspects affect each other. Because of this, she focuses on formulating treatment plans specific to the needs of each individual. Transparency, honesty, and adaptability are essential to her in this process. Jacky is constantly expanding her knowledge through continuing education courses and workshops in the ever-changing field of massage therapy. Jacky uses a combination of active and passive modalities as well as soft tissue manipulation in her practice to address a wide variety of conditions.
These include, but are not limited to: Swedish techniques, myofascial, trigger point release, tapotement, joint mobilizations, PNF, contract-relax, active and passive stretching, lymphatic drainage and neuromuscular techniques.
